Jose's Preschool Graduation

My little one Jose graduated from Preschool last March 26. It was a wonderful and touching ceremony. He got the 'Most Friendly" award and got to do the Closing Prayer at the end.

His Dad wasn't able to attend (because he had Chicken Pox) so it was just Lolo Benjie, Ate Cat, Zoe and myself who were there to witness Jose's moving up into Grade 1.

Sharing some pictures.

I'm not a baby. I'm a kid.

That's what we would hear from Jose these days. He now does not like being called "Baby Jose" - and would correct us and say that he's not anymore a baby but a KID. Lol! But then he also hates being called "Kuya Jose", so I guess he's just a kid, but not yet a Kuya. So I guess we let just him be what he wants to be, until he is ready.

Luigi's Costume Party

Luigi's school had their annual costume party just before the semestral break. It  was held at the Water Nymph in Marikina. Since I am indisposed to go out of the house, it was again Ate Cat and Ate Nilda who served as Luigi's moms for the day.

Here are some pics of my cutie-pie:

Trick or Treat 2013

This year, it was only Luigi who was able to go trick-or-treating around the village since Zoe wanted to attend her friend's birthday party that is at the exact time of the activity. Anyway, to save us from buying costumes again this year, we just borrowed a Flash costume from a friend. I just had our other yaya accompany Luigi during the activity since Mommy was indisposed. :-(  If only I had the energy, I would gone around the village with him and enjoyed this special moment. Anyway, I am looking forward to next year when we already have 3 kids in tow. That would be really something! I'd buy Luigi a portable drum set and lobby our way into the streets. That would be so cute!

Sharing with you some pictures taken from my phone camera.

By the way, did I mention that Luigi won best in costume? So cool! I'm a proud mommy!

Luigi's First Field Trip

Here are some pictures.

Kindermusik Summer (Late Post)

I just wanted to insert this post in. This is about Luigi's summer class at Kindermusik by Teacher Jeannie and Company.

We had enrolled Luigi in this class last summer before he started preschool and we were very happy on how it had helped Luigi become more inclined to music, dance and crafts.

This class has really brought out the talent in him and we really hope to see this further in the coming years. Who knows, Luigi might just be a future "Voice of the Philippines" or a rock star. Hahaha!

Great Improvement!

Here is proof of Luigi as a pre-schooler. He has been going to school since June and we are so impressed with the great improvement he has shown in terms of sociability and speech.

On top of this, he is such a cutie in his school uniform. :-)

Luigi's in School!

My son is officially a preschooler!

We enrolled Luigi in a progressive school near our home and he has had a blast so far. He is so happy to go to school and is very eager to meet new people and learn new things. I see this since he evidently looks so giddy coming going and coming home from school. He proudly shows me his "happy face" stamp which he always gets from his teacher and gives me too his wonderful artworks from school. One day, I asked him what he learned from school that day. He said in a recognizable tune - "Mom! My toes, my knees, my shoulders, my head!" I am so proud of him! Hopefully, he will be able to maintain that same interest in school and in learning for years to come. I'll be so happy as a singing mother goose!

Santacruzan 2013

As a mom, I never fail to let my kids join traditional church activities for them to learn and remember our usual devotions. One of these activities would be the May Marian procession usually held in our village during the community fiesta.

Zoe wore a yellow gown this year while we got Luigi a nice black suit. :-)

Lovely kids, right?

All I Want for Christmas

Christmas is over and the kids are enjoying Santa's gifts to them.

I had wanted to give my kids something exquisite but my practical mind (and wallet) opted to choose simple things this year.

The kids woke up early Christmas morning finding Santa's gifts near the tree.

The little boy didn't understand the concept of Santa yet so he received his gift in a grumpy mood.

And so here are the gifts. We got them toy iPads, a battery-operated microphone, a dollhouse, a book (Si Inggolok at ang Planetang Pakaskas) and a watch.

Merry Christmas my dear kids!

Look Alike?

I'm not so sure if I've blogged about this before. Tsk tsk. I think that's what I get for not updating this blog for months.

Anyway, at any rate, just want to show these two pictures taken side by side. Someone is claiming that he has a picture that is so similar to the picture of my son Luigi: the eyes, the hair, the ears and a whole lot more. Bottomline, this person is saying they look alike.

Well, looking at it now, there may really be a certain similarity. After all, the one in the older picture is...

...my eldest brother-in-law. (Kuya, sige na nga, pwede na rin! Hehe)

Here they are now and tell me if they still look alike.

Belated Christmas Post

We celebrated Christmas in the traditional way. Our whole family attended the Christmas Eve mass and we sat down at 12 midnight to pray and eat our simple Noche Buena.

In the morning, Santa surprised the kids with nice presents.

Zoe was so ecstatic to wake up and find something big hidden underneath the Christmas tree.

Obviously, Santa heard her plea for a new bike and she got it!

She immediately got dressed and drove away!

As for Luigi, he was content on the car that Santa gave him.

I'm sure the gifts Santa dropped this year will go a long, long way.

And as for living the true spirit of Christmas, we had the usual lootbags prepared for the kids who pass by the house to greet us Merry Christmas. Dad was kind enough to buy the stuff this year since I was sickies with fever and cough the whole Christmas week.

By 9am, all of the goody bags were all given away! I really hope all the kids are happy! :-)

Happy Birthday dear Jesus!

Tagaytay Trip

My sister was home last month and we took advantage of being with her by taking her to her seminar at the Tagaytay Conference Center.

The kids really enjoyed the short trip. We didn't bring them during the last time (in our wedding anniversary celebration in Tagaytay) so I promised to let them come along this time. It was Luigi's first time to go to Tagaytay and we were so happy that he was a pleasant traveler.

Here are some pics which I'm sharing:

Happy!

Happier!

Happiest!

Love my kids.

Luigi's 9th Month Celebration

Another late post but anyway...

I hope you're not getting tired about my postings on Luigi's monthly celebrations. He turned 9 months last June 8. That's a day after his daddy's birthday so we just settled with a cake and some pancit.

Our baby boy is looking more and more like a Cabbage Patch baby. He still has so little hair! But in fairness, his teeth are sprouting and so is his appetite. He eats almost everything we give him and I'm quite happy. You see, the pedia asked us to feed him lots of food since he's still a bit below the ideal weight. So I hope he gains more and more weight as the days go by.

Anyway, here is a snapshot of my dears on Luigi's 9th month cake-blowing.

Happy birthday my dear little boy! I love you!

Luigi: 8 months

We celebrated baby boy's 8th month last May 8.

It was a happy occasion since we had a special visitor, my sister, who came from Iloilo.

Luigi's growing to be a very happy and healthy baby. His appetite has greatly improved and he has been growing taller and taller each day. We loves to play with his sister and seems very interested with his toys. We crawls a lot, taps his hands a lot, and screams a lot! I'm so happy on his developments.

Happy 8th month, little boy!
